It’s Time To Set Your Body FREE.

Abby Maroko is a health and fitness coach, yoga teacher, and writer. Her life passion is to inspire the masses--one individual, one squat, one smile, and one bead of sweat at a time, to step into their peak human being. In her "down" time, she enjoys exploring her own mental and physical edges (which often times means yoga-ing and taking the path less traveled high into the mountains), eating the rainbow (especially dark leafy greens and cruciferous veggies), and connecting with people from all over the world, and engaging in never-too-many belly laughs!

Movement

MOVEMENT: Movement is a basic human need. It is is essential to our health and happiness. It takes us beyond doubt and fear. Our bodies thrive on movement. There is a near endless potential of ways to move and explore our bodies. Whichever way you choose, you are putting your #fitfootforward.

Mindset

MINDSET: An old zen proverb reads: you should meditate for 20 minutes a day-unless you are too busy; then you should meditate for an hour. Via meditation; we cultivate equanimity, or non-reactivity, and sweep away the emotional clutter holding us back. This creates a higher default level of calmness and clarity with which we approach life. Combined with other psychological techniques—from positive self-talk to effective goal setting to challenging and changing limiting beliefs and beyond—we elevate our mental fitness, and thus, our lives.

Nutrition

NUTRITION: Nutrition is best approached with a zest for both taking care of our energetic needs and tickling our taste buds. It’s about fuel and pleasure. Nature's bounty provides us with essentially all of the ingredients we need to thrive, and thus, it is encouraged that we #eattherainbow. A dietary regimen based on a variety of earth-grown, nutrient-rich, plant-based whole foods and complimented by healthy fats and proteins is our recommendation.

Spirituality, Heart, Soul, and The X-Factor

SPIRITUALITY (+ HEART, SOUL, CONNECTION—THE X-FACTORS): "She who has a why to live for can bear with almost any how."--Friedrich Nietzsche. Our deepest WHY provides us with a source of sustenance that allows us to keep moving forward, through our toughest challenges and to our individual finish lines. Often times our WHY's are much bigger than we are as individuals, drawing from relationships and community. It is upon us to find the deep source of motivation to live our best lives, whether it comes from within, without, or a mixture of the two (as it usually is).
